Ever thought about learning English but didn’t have the money to pay for ESL classes. If so, take advantage of this great service being provided by New York University. From 10/3 to 11/7 they are providing free English classes in New York City. Click here to find out more about it.

Where can I find assistance for a child who needs english classes (4th grader)? He goes to school, but is lost because he cannot speak or understand the language. I’m sure there are organizations who can advocate for children in this situation. Pls advise. Thank you.

There are many organizations that can help advocate for you depending on where you live. Have you spoken with his teachers and principal and requested bilingual education, bilingual education provides classes in English so that he can learn but also in his native language so that he can slowly learn English and then make a transition to English only classes.
